Last week I went through a serious problem of my server, on which my website runs.
It started with the problem of the version of PHP. The edition of the current PHP is very old and it couldn’t support the running of some plugins. Then I tried to install a new version of PHP, but it didn’t work. When I tried to uninstall the old version, the server crashed and could not be restarted due to an error called “kernel panic”.

Change the title
Changed the title of the English website.
Update home page
Added progress bars and more social icons for home page.
Added the feature which can share posts on Mastodon.
Separation
Totally separated my blog into two subsites– English site and Chinese site. It’s more convenient for viewers to choose their familiar language.
Added the language switcher menu.
Mastodon
Removed some plugins from my blog. Added options for foreign languages.
Added the Mastodon icon and removed the YouTube icon.
Tried out Mastodon, a decentralized social networking software. I think it is a good alternative to Twitter.

Categorize my blog
The most important decision is changing categories. so I think it is also important to categorize my writings, I improved the classification of my categories in my blog. I can read and found my writing through multi-level categories, classify them and reflect efficiently. I also can discover everything I wrote before through categories, like time traveling, know myself.
